A Hardwood Floor Nail Gun is Necessary to Complete the Job

When in comes to installing hardwood flooring on your own, you will need to arm yourself with the proper tools for the job. One of the most important tools for installing hardwood flooring is the hardwood floor nail gun. You can install hardwood flooring on your own, with a hammer; however a hardwood floor nail gun will make the job much easier and neater, giving you a nicer looking finish in the end.

There are a few types of hardwood floor nail guns to choose from. The most popular type of hardwood floor nail gun that is used is a 15 gauge pneumatic nail gun. You can use this gun to install solid ¾” floor boards, and it is very useful for top and side nailing depending on the method that you need to use. You can also use this gun for finishing as well, however larger holes will be left.

As well as the hardwood floor nail gun that you will need to finish the job of installing hardwood floor, you will also need some saws to complete the job. A 10” miter saw will allow you to do a good job, as well as a circular saw and a jig saw. Remember, if you are going to use an air nailer, you will also need a compressor to finish the job.
