Engineered Hardwood Floor Makes It Easy To Achieve a Great Look

If you have always wanted hardwood flooring but were worried about how difficult it might be to install, worry no longer, hardwood flooring is getting easier. Engineered hardwood floor is making it possible to have a wood floor without the extra costs that are generally associated with hardwood flooring. When it comes to an engineered hardwood floor, you will be able to have a wood floor easier and less expensively. Installing engineered hardwood floor is not as difficult as a traditional floor as it is installed using a floating hardwood floor technique.

An engineered hardwood floor can be used anywhere that a hardwood floor can be, and other areas where you would not usually be able to have a hardwood floor such as a concrete base. Installing engineered hardwood floor materials is much simpler because each board is pre-finished and varnished in whatever treatment you prefer before you install it. Engineered flooring is installed using a floating hardwood floor technique which works with a tounge and groove installation. Each board is put together with a little special glue before snapping together.

When you choose an engineered hardwood floor you can choose a 3 ply board or a 5 ply board which means that three or five pieces of board have been heat laminated together to form a plywood like board that is uniform in size and shape making installation easy. You can keep costs lower by installing engineered hardwood floor materials because the middle of the board can be a different wood than the exterior of the board. With a floating wood floor boards range in thickness from ¼” to 9/16” thick and 2 ¼” to 7” wide. You can choose from a variety of widths when you install a floor as well as color treatments and styles to create a unique look.
